Kung Fu Flash 2

Kung Fu Flash 2 is a Commodore 64 cartridge by Kim Jørgensen that is able to emulate other cartridges, such as Epyx Fastload, Super Snapshot v5, as well as load PRG files and use D64 disk images. It is the successor of the highly popular Kung Fu Flash.

This enables you to play most of your favourite C64 games directly from this cartridge.

As Kim describes it: "Just place your desired CRT, PRG or D64 files on a FAT formatted microSD card and use the built-in launcher to execute them."

Kim Jørgensen describes the Kung Fu Flash 2 as the big brother of the Kung Fu Flash, featuring a faster microcontroller with more memory and I/O pins, allowing for additional functionality.

Currently, this project is considered experimental and provides the same features as Kung Fu Flash, with these notable exceptions:

• CRT files are loaded into RAM, not flash, making large CRT files startup faster. However, changes to EasyFlash cartridges are lost if power is turned off, unless saved via the menu first
• The cartridge detects if the C64/C128 is reset. This allows the use of an additional reset button on the C64 or the built-in reset button on the C128
• REU emulation has been added (RAM Expansion Unit emulation)

AutumnHippo sells the Kung Fu Flash 2 completely ready-to-use, ready to accept your MicroSD card and stick in your C64. Mounted with 6x6x12 mm tactile switches for easy mounting into 3D printed case, as well as the USB port mounted.

The card edge connector (and other copper surfaces) has ENIG finishing (so-called "gold fingers") to prevent oxidation. The board is RoHS compliant and is lead-free. It comes flashed with the Kung Fu Flash firmware.
